The death is reported in her native New Zealand of  60s UTV announcer Denise Brady (latterly Denise Dearsley) ex-wife of one-time Belfast Telegraph journalist Alan Brady.
Denise, who was 63, will be remembered from the era of announcers Diane Bamber, Brian Durkan, Jimmy Greene etc
Alan Brady, who still lives in New Zealand, is a member of the family which ran the Rathfriland Outlook.  His brother Dennis Brady is a photographer in Warrenpoint..

Obituary

I spoke to Uel Young in New Zealand and he tells me that sadly his wife Molly passed away last August. Many in 60s and early 70s Belfast journalism will remember both Uel and Molly. Uel came from Portrush and Molly was a North Coast person too.  Uel was on the Constitution in Coleraine before joining the Belfast Telegraph reporting staff.  Later, with his superb shorthand honed in weekly paper days, he joined Hansard at Stormont, but left for New Zealand Hansard after the (first) collapse of Stormont in '72.  But he later gravitated back to the newspaper world there, working on the Waikato Times in Hamilton, NZ North Island, before "retiring" about eight years ago. However, Uel returned to do day shift duties there until fairly recent times.
